More than a sigh

A candy that melts in your mouth! It's simple and tasty, nothing better to sweeten your day.

This is one of my most coveted recipes! Sighs are similar to, or even, mistaken for little crunchy sweet clouds. They are good to eat or use in desserts, are easy to make, and a good way to use leftover egg whites from another recipe.

"It's my favourite candy. I can eat a bag full of them."

Let's get to the recipe!

Ingredients:

3 egg whites

Salt to taste

300g sugar

Lemon (juice) to taste

Preparation:

Turn on the oven to 140°C.

Place the egg whites in the electric mixer, add a pinch of salt and beat until foamy.

Add the sugar slowly and keep beating. Add the lemon juice and continue beating for 6 to 7 minutes at maximum speed.

Line a baking tray with baking paper and, with the help of a spoon or the pastry bag, distribute the meringue in mounds of the desired size.

Place the tray in the oven and bake for about 40 minutes or until the meringues are dry and crispy.

Store in airtight jars.

And enjoy!
