Who remembers this cry? With it, you could catch the fish you wanted without using a rod or even a fishing line.

You know what I'm talking about. Right!? 🤔 The famous (at least for me) Sesame Street episode where Egas and Becas are in a boat fishing. Becas is trying to fish with a rod and gets nothing until Egas tells him "I'll teach you how to fish", so he fills his chest with air and says "Ohhhh fish, fish, fish, fish!!!!" and bam there jumps a fish into the boat. Until Becas tries to do the same and yells "Ohhhh fish, fish, fish, fish!!!" and nothing... It turns out that only Egas could do it! 😂
When I was a little girl I watched Sesame Street from end to end and this is one of the episodes I still remember well. When I made the recipe I bring here only this "Ohhh fish, fish, fish, fish, fish!!!" came to my mind. You can see by now that it's #fish, but which one? There are so many of them, aren't there? Yes, but this time it's a recipe with #fish that I bring to you.
It's not my favourite fish, so I invented this way of making it to disguise its taste a little bit.
When I think of hake, cooked hake always comes to mind, which I don't like very much. But being a healthier fish I like to include it in the diet at home, so I tried to change the idea that hake is boiled or fried (this way I can even eat it).
Since I like everything that is breaded, I thought of making the breaded hake!
And it turned out well! 😉 It's not complicated at all because here the recipes are (mostly) simple and (always) tasty!!!
Ingredients:
One package of hake cutlets for frying (frozen)
1 clove of garlic (per piece)
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
1 bay leaf
Lemon juice
Flour
Egg
Grated bread
Preparation:
Thaw the hake steaks. After thawing, place in a container and season with salt, pepper, chopped garlic, bay leaf and lemon juice. Cover and place in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to marinate.
Remove the steaks from the marinade, one by one, and pass them first in flour, then in egg and finally in breadcrumbs.
Place the steaks on a baking tray lined with baking paper and drizzle with a little olive oil.
Bake for 25 minutes at 180°C.
Suggestion 👉 Serve with broccoli au gratin!
Enjoy your meal!
