Pork steaks, once in a while

I don't usually eat pork, but now and then I do and it tastes good.

This was the first time I made these pork steaks. I didn't do too bad! But it's not a meat that I make much here at home.

I'm not a big fan of pork, but from time to time I eat it, but it has to have flavour and be juicy because if it's dry, I'm not convinced. Not at all! This recipe I bring here is very juicy and the trick is to have very thin steaks and not let the meat go too much, but it can't be undercooked either. As they say in the jargon, it has to be just right ;)

This meat was hyper, mega juicy and very tasty! As it couldn't be any other way, it's a simple and tasty recipe!

So let's go to the recipe for the Pork Steaks with chestnuts!

Ingredients:

1kg of thin pork steaks

300g frozen chestnuts

6 cloves of garlic, chopped

200ml white wine

1 tablespoon of paprika

1 teaspoon of cumin (optional)

Sweet herb to taste (optional)

Salt to taste

Olive oil to taste

Margarine to taste

1 bay leaf

Preparation:

Season the meat with wine, paprika, cumin, garlic, salt and bay leaf. Let it marinate for 2 hours.

Meanwhile, boil the chestnuts in water seasoned with salt (and if you like, a little sweet herb, which will make the chestnuts much sweeter). Bring to a boil and cook for 3 minutes after boiling. Drain and set aside.

In a large frying pan put the margarine and the olive oil and let the margarine melt. Place the steaks and fry. Add the marinade and let it simmer for a while.

When the steaks are almost fried, add the chestnuts and fry for a little longer.

Serve with pasta or rice.
